Silicon Valley, CA -- When The Tabard's Theatre Company named its 2020-2021 SEASON, "CELBRATE LIFE" it really wanted it to be a celebration for everyone. TABARD's "Celebration" actually started in July, with the nomination of JONATHAN RHYS WILLIAMS (picture below) as its new Executive Artistic Director
A Bay area native, graduate from the California Institute of the Arts, RHYS WILLIAMS brings to TABARD over 30 years of professional theatre management and production experience gained through his work in different categories including director, in a wide range of theatre companies in San José, San Francisco and Sacramento, where in 2002, he co-founded Capital Stage Company, now one of the leading arts organization in California. But its official "CELEBRATE LIFE" 2020-2021 Season, will start with the Production of the Radio Play "ARSENIC and OLD LACE." (September 18 through October 4, 2020) which will be Live streamed and could be accessed via computer, phone, table of your TV.and watched in the privacy of your own home.The production is actually a play written by JOSEPH KESSLRING. A funny comedy which will keep everybody laughing with its host of zany characters. But the best part of TABARD's "CELEBRATE LIFE" 2020-2021 Season, is that it will be easier for you to join their celebration because Tabard Theatre Company decided to make a dramatic change in the pricing of their mainstage plays subscriptions for its season.
PRICE CHANGES AND SUBSCRIPTION DISCOUNTS Previously, Tabard's SEASONS' packages had two discounted price categories: SENIORS (persons over 65) and STUDENTS (Full or part-time). But this time to encourage more people to experience good theatre, in spite of the pandemic, TABARD will be offering their patrons three tiers of pricing, and allow each person to select the category they would like to belong. The new categories are: "FRIEND," "MEMBER," and "PATRON." "FRIEND" is the lowest price and it will be offered to anyone who wants to get familiar with TABARD's plays or who, being already familiar with the quality of their productions, would like to continue watching them for another season. The "MEMBER" category is the middle price. This category is for those who are already familiar with TABARD's productions, and because they had enjoyed their previous membership want to renew it again, as members, and continue paying the price of their standard theatre's tickets' subscription. The "PATRON," category, will be for those theatre's lovers who find themselves in the position to help finance not only TABARD's productions, but its actors, the arts in the city of San José, and those in need of support during these difficult times. The entire price OPTIONS are available for subscribers, who want to enjoy substantial savings over the purchasing of a subscription package, or a single ticket.
