SAN FRANCISCO, CA.  The San Francisco Opera announced to the press that the Fifth and newest episode of  IN SONG, is out, and will follow soprano Amina Edris  back t her native Cairo, where she will be, mentally, revisiting her childhood infused with Arabic music, the great Egyptian Temples, and a boisterous family. which include her beloved uncle Mamdouh Edris, who introduced her to the  music of Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff, (1873-1943)  the Russian composer, pianist and conductor, considered one of the finest pianist of his day, Maria Callas (1923-1977) The American-born Greek Soprano famous for her Bel Canto technique, wide ranging voice and dramatic interpretation, considered to be the most renowned opera singer of the 20th century, and  Oum Kalthoum (1904-1975) her name also spelled as  Oum Kulthoum, or Om Kalsoum, the Egyptian singer who mesmerized the Arab Audiences from the Persian Gulf to Morocco, considered in the Arab world as the most famous Arab singer of the 20th century.

When uprooted from Egypt as a young girl, to New Zealand, caught between and Arabic and a Western world, alone, and far away from family and friends, Amina carried music stored in her heart, and eventually, found a sense of belonging in song.
