SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- The San Francisco Symphony announces programming details for Digital Content on SFSYMPHONY+ through the end of the 2020-21 Season, featuring four new SoundBox programs and two CURRENTS episodes. Upcoming SoundBox releases include two programs curated by Collaborative Partners Metamorphoses by flutist CLAIRE CHASE, on July 8, and a program by composer NICO MUHLY on August 12; and the final SoundBox of the season, curated by pianist JEREMY DENK. Please notice that the New CURRENTS Episodes on August 26, previously announced to be directed by Esa-Pekka Salonen will be now under a new director.
The New CURRENTS episodes included: Invisible Borders, an exploration of Persian classical music that was curated by composer and multi-instrumentalist MOHAMMAD NEJAD (June 17) and a program exploring Klezmer Musical Culture Curated by JOSHUA HOROWITZ and VRETSKI PASS.
