2022 SFFILM AWARDS NIGHTHONORS

SAN FRANCISCO, CA-- SFFILM Awards Night, is the organization most prestigious celebration honoring achievement in filmmaking craft. The annual event is also a vital fund raiser supporting the organization's year-round programs in youth education, artist development and exhibition. SFFILM will honor Ryan Coogler (Black Panther; Wakanda Forever) will receive the living M.Levin Award for Film Direction from presenter Danai Gurira. Sarah Polley will receive the SFFILM Award for Storytelling for Women Talking from a presenter to be announced. Margot Robbie will receive the Maria Manetti Shrem Award for acting, for her performance in Babylon, by presenter Damien Chazelle, and Stephanie Hsu will receive the George Gund III Award: Breakthrough Performance which will be presented by Joan Chen. The December 5 Awards ceremony will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, located at 701 Mission Street in San Francisco. COVID PROTOCOL As for the press covering the festival, all members of the press who will be in proximity to SFFILM Staff or Talent during the Awards Night are required to submit proof of a negative COVID-l9 test result in advance of the event. So, it is requested that the test be taken and uploaded no earlier than 36 hours before their in-person SFFILM event. And at least 6 hours before. |
