LOS ANGELES, CA--  In a press announcement,  Bill Kramer, CEO, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, informed the members of the press, that he is thrilled to announce that Jacqueline Stewart, Chief Artistic and Programming officer of the Academy Museum, will be the Next Director and President of the Academy Museum. His short e-mail reads as follows:

"It has been a great privilege to work with Jacqueline to open the Academy Museum, and I am thrilled that we will continue to collaborate in our two new roles along with our incredible COO and General Counsel, Brendan Connell, Jr.. Her creativity, compassion, and proven leadership will help guide us to great new cinematic heights. "  

Jacqueline Stewart is an esteemed film scholar, activist, curator and programmer as well as a 2021 recipient of a Mac Arthur Fellowship (commonly known as the Mac Arthur Genius Grant. She will starts her new role On July l8.
